Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited has invested heavily in human resource. The personnel who shall provide these services have acquired experiences and training elsewhere over long periods of time and are therefore well versed with matters regarding custody of pension schemes assets.
NKEM ONI-EGBOMA, (MANAGING DIRECTOR)
Nkem Oni-Egboma is the Managing Director of Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited. She holds a Second Class Upper Degree in Accounting (1989) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Masters in Banking and Finance – MBF (1998) from the University of Lagos, Akoka. She is a Certified Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA), and also a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA).
She brings with her almost 20 years experience in the banking industry (majorly Zenith Bank Plc) in Treasury Operations, Internal Control and Audit, Marketing, and General Management.
Prior to her appointment as the Managing Director of Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited, she had previously held the position of Zonal Head, Zenith Bank Plc in charge of Allen Zone (comprising Allen, Opebi, and Allen 2), supervising over 150 workforce. Her major function was providing transformational leadership as well as ensuring an excellent and steady growth in the balance sheet size of the branches under her supervision.
She has attended various training programmes, which includes Audit through the Computer in Financial Institutions, and Trade Seminar – Citibank, New York.
YINKA AJAYI, (EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS)
Yinka Ajayi is the Executive Director, Operations in Zenith pensions Custodian Limited. She holds a B.Sc. degree in Actuarial Science from The University of Lagos and an MBA from the ObafemiAwolowo University. She is also a Fellow of the Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria.
Yinka has over 25 years experience in Banking and related Financial services. She joined Zenith International Bank in 1992 and had several responsibilities in Banking Operations. She at various times held strategic positions in the Head Office and Branch Retail Banking Operations and was a pioneer member of the Bank’s Total Quality Management team. She was also actively involved in facilitating In-house training programs for the Bank for several years. Her activities earned her several awards in the Bank such as the prestigious MD/CEO award for Operational Efficiency and TQM award for setting and monitoring Service Standards.
Yinka was seconded to Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited to spearhead operational controls and service delivery where she was fully involved in putting operational structures in place. She was a member of the project team that set up Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited.
She has attended several training programs in Pension Management and Global Custody which include Euromoney Pension Fund strategy Course, Nairobi Kenya, Introduction to Global Custody (In accordance with the standards and procedures of the Securities and Investments Institute, London, U.K) -H.B.L. Consultancy Services, Hands-On training in Custody Operations at Computershare Pty, Johannesburg, S.A. and knowledge sessions in Global Custody at Barclays Bank of Kenya Limited, Kenya Commercial Bank Limited and national Industrial Credit bank Limited, Nairobi, Kenya.
BENSON IJOMONI (HEAD COMPLIANCE/RISK MANAGEMENT)
Benson Ijomoni holds a Higher National Diploma (HND), marketing from Auchi Polytechnic and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Delta State University, Abraka. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. He has several years of post graduate working experience, 23 years of them is with Zenith Bank Group.
He began his working career as an Accounting Assistant and rose to the position of Company Accountant with Babcock Nigeria Limited; a Germany based Electrical Engineering Company. He had a two year stint with D.O. Dafinone & Co (Chartered Accountants) which he joined shortly after the successful completion of the final stage of ICAN examination as Audit Senior. Thereafter, he moved to Leabub Nigeria Limited, a civil engineering construction company where he initially held the post of Audit Manager and later became the Chief Accountant. He ultimately secured employment in Zenith Bank in Feb, 1993.
In Zenith Bank, he has worked at different times in operations and marketing groups at head office and several branches. He held strategy positions like Head of Funds Transfer, Head of Operations, Group Head of Marketing and Head of Admin. He pioneered the opening of two branches; Sokoto branch and Computer Village branch as the Branch Manager. These branches were set up and successfully transformed to profitable and viable strategic business units.
He has attended several local and foreign training programs in management, leadership, Pension Management and custody, Global Custody, compliance and risk management etc.
Benson was seconded to head the Compliance and Risk Management Department of Zenith Pensions Custodian in November, 2008.
DIKE UMEZURIKE (HEAD OF INTERNAL CONTROL AND AUDIT)
Dike Umezurike is the Head of Internal Control and Audit in Zenith Pensions Custodian Ltd. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Education/ Accountancy from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
Dike has more than 24 years’ experience in Banking, Audit and Financial Advisory services.
He joined Zenith Bank PLC in 1998 after undergoing professional training in Audit and Consultancy with KPMG Nigeria (now Deloitte Akintola Williams) between 1992 and 1998. He left KPMG Nigeria as a Supervising Audit Senior.
Prior to his appointment as Head of Internal Control and Audit in Zenith Pensions Custodian Ltd, he had previously held various positions in Zenith Bank Plc, such as: Head of Operations, Ikeja , Apapa, Ikoyi, etc, as well as the pioneer Branch Head of Lekki Expressway2 Branch of the Bank where he was charged with business development; Head , Inspection Unit.
He served in various Committees on Operational efficiency and Service Improvement in the Bank, including Implementation Committee on the Bank’s banking application change.
He has attended various local and offshore trainings.
OMOTAYO LAWAL (HEAD FINANCE & CUSTODY SUPPORT SERVICES)
Omotayo Lawal is the Head of Finance and Custody Support Services in Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited. He holds Bachelor Degree in Accounting Second Class Upper from Ogun State University, Ago Iwoye. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and has over 20 years working experience, with almost 17 of these in the banking industry.
He began his working career undergoing audit and consultancy training with Adetona Isichei & Co Chartered Accountants (Now Akintola Williams Deloitte & Co) in January 1996 till 1999 where he rose to the level of Audit Senior. He later worked briefly with Standard Trust Bank Plc, in Internal Control Department before joining the service of Zenith Bank Plc in January 2000.
His almost 17 years’ experience in Zenith Bank span through Internal Control, Operations, Business Development and Credit Risk Management. Prior to his appointment as the Head of Finance and Custody Support Services of Zenith Pensions Custodian, he had held various positions in Zenith Bank Group such as: Head of Operations Zenith Bank Plc Allen Avenue Branch, Branch Head, Zenith Bank Plc ,Bolade Branch and Manger, Credit Risk Management Group, Zenith Bank Plc.
He has attended several local and foreign training in finance and management which include training in Corporate Finance, Financial Management, CFO Programme, Management ,Leadership etc.
OMEKE IFEANYI COLLINS (COMPANY SECRETARY/LEGAL ADVISER; HEAD HR/ADMIN)
Mr. Ifeanyi Collins Omeke is an astute Lawyer who is vast in corporate attorney ship with bias in the area of company, commercial and investment laws. He holds a Bachelor of Law Degree with a second class upper division from University of Calabar and was called to the Bar in 1993. He bagged an LLM (Master of Law) from the University of Lagos in 1998.
Ifeanyi has over ten years of corporate attorney ship in the Legal Services group of Zenith Bank. He is vast in International Commercial practice of Trusteeship and Custodian business.
Ifeanyi was seconded from Zenith Bank to Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited in February 2012 as the Company Secretary / Legal Adviser. He also heads the Human Resource and Admin.
PETER EZO (CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER)
Peter Ezo is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited. He holds a B.Sc. degree and best graduating student in Mathematics / Computer Science from the University of Port-Harcourt in 1999. He is an Associate Member British Computing Society of The Chartered Institute of IT. He has several other Certifications in different areas of Information technology.
Prior to his appointment as the CIO of Zenith pensions Custodian Limited, he has worked and handled complex projects in the Zenith Bank IT group having hands on experiences in various capacities.
Peter has over 15 years’ experience in ICT and have participated in various offshore and local training programme ranging from System Analysis and Design, programming, Database Administration and IT Project Management. He has also attended several trainings in Pension Management and Global Custody which include Introduction to Global Custody (In accordance with the standards and procedures of the Securities and Investments Institute, London, U.K), Hands-On training in Custody Operations in Johannesburg, S.A. Pension Fund Strategy in Amsterdam, Netherlands among others.
Peter was seconded from Zenith Bank to Zenith Pensions Custodian Limited in May 2012.
